I first fell in love with dance music as a fresh-faced 18 year old on my gap year, when my friends and I would race up to London every weekend to go to classic nights like Pendragon, Samsara and Logic. At the age of 22 I decided I wanted to learn to spin tunes and bought my very own pair of 1210s. I haven't looked back since. Over the years I've played sets at Yes @ Hidden and Puzzle Project @ 414 in London, and in Brighton for TNT and Vibealive.
I have always loved trance music – when I first started mixing I also mixed hard house and the kind of hard trance so popular at that time. In recent years I've come back to my roots in a big way, rediscovering my passion for the more classic trance genre. I've also broadened my horizons into other genres such as house and techno and love finding hidden gems with cross-over potential outside the trance pages. What can you expect from one of my sets? Depending on the time of night and the atmosphere you might see me play in many styles: a more progressive warm up style set; through to a slightly funkier trance set with a distinct house and techno flavour; the more classic driving and euphoric trance sound; or if the mood takes me some pretty vicious tech trance for those moments when only something a little bit evil will do! Of course you might get a bit of everything if that's what's called for.
I am really excited about my new involvement with Puzzle, both as a resident and helping out with the promotion side of things. If you see me round please come and say hi, and if anyone would like to check out any of my mixes you can find some on the mixes page of the Puzzle website. Alternatively just drop me a mail ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) and I can sort out a download link or mail a CD to you.
See you down front!
