Puzzle Project – 27/03/2010

Not a lot to say about last month’s Puzzle Project except for ‘Wow, that’s what we call a party!’ We were well chuffed with how many people turned up out of the sheet rain that was drenching South London for some serious rug-cutting shenanigans. All DJs played blinders and the after-party was a hoot too.
But anyway, enough of living in last weekend, it’s time to look forward to March’s dose of multi-genre mayhem…

Ben Nicky ::
We’ve gone all out for guests this month with the trance scene’s newest wonder-kid, Ben Nicky! Ben has been getting support from just about every big name since setting up his label Abstract 3 years ago. As a producer he’s been showing up on the likes of Armada, Vandit and Spinnin and has received countless airplay on Radio 1, and has been personally requested by none other than Paul Van Dyk for a guest mix on his hugely popular “VoNYC” radio show. As a DJ he’s been getting loads of stamps in his passport, with gigs at Godskitchen, Gatecrasher and Judgement Sunday in Ibiza. Now is your chance to hear some big noise from one of the big boys!

Lee Osborne ::
Next up is a name who will be recognised as coming from the same stable as Ali Wilson and Matt Smallwood, and equally talented. Ladies and gentlemen, we give you Lee Osborne! A cracking DJ and fantastic producer, Lee is a fine example of how to do trance the London way and he’s a bit of a party animal too (our very own Gordon Darley can vouch for that)! Lee has enjoyed massive success of late, with recent and forthcoming releases on CGI, Mondo and W-ax, and has been signed to remix the legendary Marco V anthem Automanual for the Dutch trance superstar’s very own label Incharge. Make sure you don’t miss Lee’s set – come and see for yourself why Lee’s unique tech driven sound has won him support from the very biggest names in trance such as Tiesto, Sander Van Doorn & Eddie Halliwell!

N-Kore ::
Continuing our love for all things psychedelic was no chore this month, and N-Kore was an easy booking for us to make. His demo caught the ear of our psy-maestro Phil Lankester straight away due to it’s being down right pure quality.

Phil Lankester AKA Libra 9 ::
The first of our residents performing this month is Phil Lankester AKA Libra 9, with a rare warm up set. With forthcoming gigs at Matter @ O2 for his Halcyon residency, and being named Best DJ, Best Live Act (for his Libra 9 P.A.s) and Runner Up Best Resident DJ by the musically discerning members of HarderFaster, Phil is going from strength to strength! It’s not often you’ll see Phil on warm up duties so make sure you get down early to catch a unique psy and electro based set from one of London’s favourite DJs.

Matt Church ::
Next up, Matt Church will be providing a dose of his usual quality euphoric treats for the Puzzle faithful. Matt’s profile continues to soar with continuing well received releases on his own Red Sky imprint, a host of guest mixes lined up for a number of prominent radio shows, forthcoming collaborations with some very big names (watch this space!) and again receiving a number of accolades from the guys at Harderfaster, including Best New Producer 2009.

Gordon Darley ::
Completing our line up will be birthday boy Gordon Darley pumping things up as only he can for the closing set. If you’ve caught one of his sets before you’ll know you can expect the very finest in chunky, funky harder edged sounds!

There’s no excuses – make sure you don’t miss London’s biggest small party!
